The Full Loft Bed and Your Bedroom

There are many components that go into making a great bedroom. The main parts that you can easily customize all fall under the category of bedroom set. This consists of the bed itself (frame, headboard, mattress, and all the sheets), the nightstand, and the dresser. The reason these are grouped into a set is because they can usually be bought together all at once. However, it’s possible to mix and match and get a very nice contemporary look.

Think about the different types of beds. You can have different sizes (twin, full, queen, king, and California king) and get the frame material from either wood (cherry, oak, pine, and maple) or metal (iron). The styles of frames out there are many, but one of the most popular looks is the sleigh type. It gets its name because it resembles a sleigh, and is extremely popular because of how seamlessly it flows. It goes very well with a padded leather headboard. Upholstered and tufted headboards look excellent on it as well. If you prefer a more classic look, a simple iron frame will suite you nicely.

Of course, some beds don’t need the fancy frames and headboards. Some are raised up on a platform, or slightly higher in captains position. Students love the high loft bed because of all the extra storage space it affords them. They can fit a bookcase, desk, and even a futon underneath it. A day bed is useful for sleep, but can also be a decoration to fill an extra room.

Obviously one of the most popular setups for kids is the bunk bed. Children love it because it gives them more room to play in their room and also gives a sense of fraternity. Just be sure you help them decide who will be on the top and who will be on the bottom. As for the nightstand and dresser, they are composed of the same wooden materials as most bed frames. Whether you want a modern look or not will dictate if you get the pieces to match, because in classic setups they would match.
